Friends of Belgium Member Magda Vandenbussche will help you find a home in Houston, TX

HOUSTON, TEXAS best place to buy a house.

FORBES MAGAZINE rated HOUSTON no 1 as the best place to buy a house. Prices are stable, tax incentives are attractive and the economy is doing well.

Houston is a cosmopolitan city. We have more than 70 consulates and when doing your groceries, you will hear all kinds of languages spoken. Due to the oil industry and NASA, and a growing job market in a lot of sectors, people are relocating to Houston from abroad as well as from other states in the US. Compared to other places in the US, our property prices are very reasonable. A family home in a good area starts around $ 200,000 and you can still find waterfront homes under 1 million dollar.

Texas has also been rated as a good place to buy a second home. From the miles of coast line to the ranches in the Hill Country, Texas has a lot to offer to those that are looking for a vacation home or a retirement place.

Seeking Internation Distributors - - Will you be at the Infocomm 2008 show in Las Vegas?

Hello, Verwelkoming, Bonjour....

My company; Advanced Method seeks international distributors and North American dealers for our product called "Express". It is for the digital signage industry. It is "Powerpoint for digital signage", and is a ease of use/price performance breakthru.

Remember how 'before' Powerpoint you had to pay many thousands of dollars to get a presentation done. When Powerpoint came along the presentation world was revolutionized. After Powerpoint (A.P.), you could make your own presentation in 30 minutes. OR...you could have a graphic designer help you to make it pretty; or combine both to get what you needed.

We offer you the equivalent of that in our new product for digital signage called Express. It is digital signage for everyone!

If you will be at the Infocomm show June 18 - 20, I'd love to meet you. We will be demonstrating the product in the booth of EIKI International - booth # N-5101. My company

I welcome the opportunity to show you why your company should take our product to the world!

American Made Motorcycles for big savings shipped from America to YOU!

With the US Dollar at such a low point vs. the EURO and many other currencies, there are many opportunities to buy goods and services in the US for much less than in Europe, Asia, etc.

I have a post from someone who has access to American made motorcycles new or slightly used.

Do you wish to buy a motorcycle here and ship to you and save lots of money?

Give us the spec of what you wish to buy and we'll send the details to you. There is no obligation for your request.

Belgians invent a new game.........

From Reuters Newswire: May 20, 2008

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Two Belgian beer fans have launched a video game named 'Place to Pee', which allows players to slalom down ski slopes or kill aliens while relieving themselves at urinals.

Werner Dupont, a software developer, and Bart Geraets, an electrical engineer, got the idea while drinking Belgian trappist beers, they told Reuters Television at a local festival on Sunday.

"This thing had to be invented by Belgian people and that's what we are," they said.

The 'Place to Pee' booth is designed for two users at a time and offers two games -- blowing up aliens in outer space or skiing down a virtual slope. Gamers hit their target by aiming at sensors positioned on either side of the urinal.

A specially designed paper cone allows women to play too, the inventors say.

Their 'Place to Pee' logo resembles 'Manneken Pis', the little urinating boy fountain that is among Brussels' top sightseeing attractions.

Thank you Leo for sending this picture of Wilmarsdonk

Picture sent by Friends of Belgium member; Leo Schrauwen.

Well, the picture I send you is from only two miles away from my house in the port of Antwerp.
It is the only remaining of the church of a small village Wilmarsdonk and is surrounded by lots of containers and docks these days. Wilmarsdonk was a village north of Antwerp, which has disappeared under the Port of Antwerp expansion.
The village was first mentioned in 1155 and merged into the city of Antwerp in 1927.
The village was sacrificed to the expansion of the harbor and destroyed in 1965.
Only the church tower was preserved.

Whether you call it Brugge or Bruges, its beautiful just the same!

Please stop by my Belgium photo collection by clicking on the url to the right. There are 50 photos now of some of the most beautiful sites in Belgium.

If you just clicked in from Linkedin.com, please consider joining the Friends of Belgium LinkedIn.com group by clicking on the url to join; also on the right.

I'd love to keep adding beautiful pictures to my collection, so if you have one to send (or more), I'd love to add your favorite picture of Belgium. I especially like them when you are included in the picture.
